My Why

I understand the pressures of balancing life with work and family. Having an advisor by your side ensures your goals & plans are in process giving you time to be with family, friends or focus on your career.

Experience

As a CFO for over 25 years, my life experience has been helping owners build wealth. I led and oversaw all areas of finance for OPI Products for 20 years and joined the transaction team when it was time for a sale. The company sold for almost $1 Billion dollars per the WSJ. From the early days I established the finance department, which included the banking relationships, tax planning, cash management, risk control, investing, negotiating employee benefits plans, retirement planning, and wealth accumulation. The company was a $22 million dollar company when I joined and grew to $300 million at the time it sold to Coty Products in 2010.

I repeated this success at Milani Cosmetics where the company was looking for a favorable exit strategy. After five years of setting strategic growth goals in place, the company was acquired by a private equity group in 2018 achieving the goals of the founders.

On the home front, I ran our personalized financial plan that included a cash flow budget, selecting risk management of insurance coverage, mortgage lending, college funding & planning, tax efficient investing,  and tax strategies. We have lived in the San Fernando Valley for over 30 years raising two kids who are thriving and building their own lives.

Over the years, I was approached by all levels individuals seeking financial advice on how much to save and where to invest, or questions about employee benefits, mortgage lending, college planning and yes even budgeting. I recognized the need early on for individuals to work with a financial advisor who can guide them in all of the decisions in life to help them reach their goals.

After my last CFO position, I went back to school to earn a Certificate in Personal Financial Planning which qualified me to sit for the Certified Financial Planner exam. In November 2022, I received the CFP® certification and have been working with clients to help them reach their goals. I chose the CFP® certification because they want to provide transparent financial advice to everyone. I have a Fiduciary Duty to always act in the best interest of my client or anyone who inquires about Financial Advice.

When not working with clients, I volunteer for Savvy Ladies and Habitat for Humanity to teach classes on creating a spending plan. In addition, I belong to Financial Planning Association to keep current with financial topics and also volunteer through their programs.

My personal hobbies include enjoying a competitive game of tennis with friends, skiing with my husband in every state, hiking in the local mountains, visiting our children and everyday walks with Lexi, our Vizsla.

Fees

I am a fee only planner. What does that mean? I get paid an hourly rate when I design your personalized financial plan. Each financial plan is different; however, the initial planning time frame takes between 8 – 10 hours.

My rate is $250 per hour.

The engagement letter will outline the goals you have stated, a description of the process to expect and the estimated fee. If you would like me to manage your investments, another agreement will be signed outlining the terms and services and fee structure.

In addition, I offer investment management services where I build a tax-efficient investment portfolio in line with your risk tolerance, timeline and desired portfolio return. This is charged on an asset under management fee table. The fees start at .75% and reduce to .55% depending on your asset balance. The investment management agreement defines all aspects of the service including the fee table.

Ongoing financial planning is under a separate agreement whereby four meetings are defined to review investments, tax planning, cash flow review and risk management. The hourly fee is $250 and will be billed in arrears.

I do not receive referral fees or commissions from managing investments or insurance should I recommend purchasing insurance.

Let’s Make a Plan! I look forward to working with you on achieving your life goals.
